As part of a mixed tactical group, Army aviation crews on Mi-28NM helicopters disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) units in the border area of Kursk Region. Images of the combat operation are published by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 24.

The pilots launched missiles at the coordinates of the aviation spotter during a combat mission to support ground troops. As a result of the strike, the Ukrainian army's armored vehicles and manpower were destroyed.

After the strike, the crews performed an anti-missile maneuver at extremely low altitude and released heat traps that prevent the AFU's man-portable surface-to-air missiles (MANPADS) from hitting the missiles.

The day before, the crew of the Mi-35M helicopter launched a missile strike on AFU personnel and a stronghold in the border area of Kursk Region. The strike was carried out in the course of a combat mission to support units of the "North" group of troops.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
