The Ansar Allah (Houthis) movement, which controls northern Yemen, claimed on December 24 to have struck a military facility near Tel Aviv using a hypersonic missile.

"The Yemeni Armed Forces report a successful strike on an Israeli enemy military facility in occupied Jaffa with a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile," the Houthi-owned Al Masirah TV channel informed.

The Armed Forces added that the Houthis are "fully prepared to confront the Israeli-American-British aggression."

The day before, the Houthis launched attacks on Israeli positions on Tel Aviv and Ashkelon using the new Jaffa drones. Saria emphasized that the operations were carried out in solidarity with the Palestinian resistance.

Before that, on December 21, the Israeli army military recorded the launch of a rocket from Yemen in the direction of central Israel. Then it was specified that 30 people were injured as a result of the strike.

On December 19, it was reported that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked the facilities of the Houthi regime in Yemen. The attacked targets are used by the Houthis for their military operations and transfer of Iranian weapons.

The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical movement Hamas launched a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip into Israel. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
