1200 people evacuated from Eiffel Tower due to fire

In Paris at the Eiffel Tower there was a fire due to a short circuit, 1.2 thousand visitors were urgently evacuated. This was reported on December 24 by the French television network BFMTV.

It is reported that the fire occurred due to a technical problem on the elevator power line between the second and third floors. After the fire, a fire alarm went off at 10:50 local time. The fire department immediately arrived on the scene. None of the visitors were injured.

The Eiffel Tower, is a must stop for all visitors to Paris. Just over 6 million people climb the tower every year.

Earlier, in July this year, it became known that the spire of Rouen Cathedral caught fire in France. The mayor of Rouen Nicolas Meyer-Rossignol said that visitors were evacuated and firefighters extinguished the fire.
