Olympic medalist Galiev moved from Avangard to CSKA hockey club

Hockey player Stanislav Galiev signed a contract with CSKA. This was reported on December 24 in the official Telegram-channel of the Moscow team.

"CSKA signed a contract until the end of the season-2024/25 with forward Stanislav Galiev. <...> Welcome to the Army club!", - the message said.

The 32-year-old has been playing in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) since 2017, and this season he played for Avangard. Representatives of the Omsk HC noted that the contract with Galiev was terminated by mutual agreement of the parties.

"The club thanks Stanislav for the game and wishes him a successful continuation of his career!" - emphasized on the website of the club's press service.

Stanislav Galiev is a silver medalist of the Russian championship (2020 and 2023) and bronze medalist of the Russian championship and KHL (2021). He won the Gagarin Cup with Ak Bars in 2018 and won Olympic silver medals with the Russian national team in 2022.

On the eve of the Kazan hockey club Ak Bars defeated Dynamo Moscow in the regular KHL championship match with a score of 6:5.
