Heads of municipalities will start to be fined for inaccurate reports on housing rehabilitation. This was reported by Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov on December 24.

He said that on December 23, during a meeting of the regional government, the heads of districts of Belgorod region reported on the progress in the restoration of housing, which had been damaged during the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Lists of restored houses were also published, after which there was a complaint from a Belgorod resident that the information in the published documents did not correspond to the real state of affairs.

"There is an apartment in the list of restored housing, in fact there is no restoration. <...> From next week I will already apply measures of administrative penalties to those heads who publish unreliable reporting," he told Telergam-channel.

Earlier in the day, the Ukrainian army attacked three settlements in the Belgorod region with the help of drones, one person was injured.

Before that, on December 22, Gladkov said that over the day the AFU attacked 12 settlements in the Belgorod region. As a result of explosive device drops from a drone in the villages of Rozhdestvenska and Mokraya Orlovka, two private houses and outbuildings on the territory of the households were damaged.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
