Musk urged to stop sending "Wikipedia" donations

On December 24, American entrepreneur Ilon Musk called on December 24 to stop donating to the online encyclopedia "Wikipedia" because of the portal's editorial policy.

So he commented on the publication, according to which in the period from 2023 to 2024 "Wikipedia" spent more than $50 million of the total budget to promote the policy of diversity, equality and inclusion.

"Stop sending donations <...> until they restore the balance of editing power," he wrote on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

Earlier, on December 7, Roskomnadzor sent the online encyclopedia "Wikipedia" a demand to remove inaccurate information about the place of death of academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Evgeny Velikhov. The agency noted that it was not the first time that the online encyclopedia deliberately disseminated inaccurate information and misled Internet users.
