Kaluga intends to produce 50 thousand Great Wall cars for a year

Kaluga plant "Automobile Technologies" (former PSMA Rus) is planning to produce about 50 thousand cars in 2025 from car components of the Chinese concern Great Wall Motor. This was reported on December 24 by "Auto Mail" with reference to a source in the auto business. According to his data, the enterprise will start assembling several models from the Haval lineup, among them there are those that are not represented in the Russian market.
"The interlocutor emphasized that under the contract assembly of cars in Kaluga, the Chinese company has already made preparations, including the reservation of logistics and storage capacity for 50 thousand car kits," the report says.
It is known that one of the models to be put on the assembly line in Kaluga will be a crossover Haval M6. In November, this was confirmed by representatives of "Haval Motor Rus". Haval plant in the Tula region, which capacity is about 80 thousand cars per year, is fully loaded, reported the executive director of "Havel Motor Rus" Andrey Akifiev.
On December 17, Haval announced the launch of a new SUV on the Russian market, which will be part of the Pro lineup. Silhouette of the model with the marking "soon on sale" appeared on the brand's website. It is assumed that we may be talking about the Haval H7 model, which is known in the home market under the name Big Dog.
