- Polish Prime Minister Tusk sang a Christmas carol before a meeting of the Council of Ministers

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk sang a Christmas carol during a statement before a meeting of the Council of Ministers on Tuesday, December 24.
"Today we have a special government meeting because today is Christmas Eve. And our pre-Christmas work I would like to start today with wishes. <...> I wish from the bottom of my heart to all Polish families that this Christmas will be peaceful, that you will find peace and a sense of security at the Christmas table with your loved ones," Tusk said.
He added that these are difficult times in the world, and in order to get through them more easily, one should live with hope for a better future. And that is why ministers will continue to work for the sake of citizens' peace of mind and to guarantee Poland a sense of security and stability, Tusk said.
After his speech, the Polish prime minister started singing Christmas carols, and the rest of the council members picked it up.
Earlier in the day, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in his Christmas greeting that these were now "harsh times" for the FRG. He also thanked those who work for the benefit of society on Christmas Eve, in particular medical workers and police officers.
