Russian forward Evgeni Malkin, who plays for the American hockey club Pittsburgh Penguins, gave two important assists in the game against Philadelphia. He became the third player in Pittsburgh history to score 500 (180+320) points on the power play, as well as the second Russian in the history of the National Hockey League (NHL) with such a set of points.
