The market for software-defined networking (SD-WAN) products will grow by 45% by 2025. Due to the price comparable to VPN, investments in SD-WAN become affordable for companies of any size with limited budgets, said Maxim Ananchenko, Director of Business Market Product Department at MTS.

According to him, automated network management is becoming a condition of efficiency for businesses adapting to the accelerated pace of change and the need to quickly revise the number of offices to take into account the increased load or, on the contrary, to reduce.

MTS has developed and launched its own service for creating secure corporate networks, the company said. The solution is now undergoing registration in the Register of domestic software for compliance with standards.

"SD-WAN allows to simultaneously improve the service and reduce costs without loss of quality, which is especially relevant in the context of a shortage of IT specialists," he emphasized.

SD-WAN provides a single point of management and monitoring of inter-office network infrastructure through a personal cabinet with a user-friendly and intuitive interface. This significantly reduces operational costs and network administration time. Software-defined networks allow you to check available communication channels in real time and direct traffic along optimal routes. Companies with many branches can easily and quickly automate the process of managing network parameters: it is enough to make one-time settings in your personal cabinet, and all changes will automatically apply to the entire network.

The advantage of the service over software VPN is that the solution functions as a product of the telecom operator and is not blocked by technical means of control. Interaction with regulatory authorities remains in the area of MTS responsibility.
