Roscongress Foundation's International Platform summarized the results of the year

In 2024, Roscongress International , the international platform for interaction between Russian and foreign business communities of the Roscongress Foundation, took part in numerous events around the world and held a number of its own events. For 2024, 26 agreements were signed in addition to the already existing 539 agreements of the Roscongress Foundation with Russian organizations, agencies and foreign partners from 86 countries.

"In 2024, the Roscongress Foundation confirmed its status as a key development institution aimed at multi-vector promotion of national interests, achievements and strengthening the objective image of Russia in various fields both inside and outside the country. Over the past year, the Foundation's international brand - Roscongress International - carried out consistent work on shaping and highlighting issues on the Russian and global agenda, developing and strengthening international ties, and scaling up Russia's interaction with foreign partners. The plans for the next year include development of more than 20 discussion platforms for equal constructive dialog with all interested parties", - noted Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Board, Director of the Roscongress Foundation.

During the year, field sessions were organized to present the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum as a leading communication platform for developing and deepening strategic cooperation and discussing key economic issues facing Russia, emerging markets and the world as a whole. Events were held in Algeria (January 24), South Africa (March 27), Chile (April 30), Costa Rica (May 3). Representatives of the business communities of Vietnam and Hong Kong became more familiar with the opportunities of the Eastern Economic Forum during the field sessions organized in July.

From November 4 to 8, Cape Town hosted the events of the African Energy Week. The Roscongress Foundation acted as a strategic partner of the event, and the projects of the Foundation and international events of the Roscongress International platform were presented at the Forum. For the first time in the history of the event, a Russia-Africa round table was organized, which brought together key players in the energy sector.

Also within the framework of the African track of the Roscongress Foundation's international activities, the international business forum "Russia - Ethiopia: Time is of the essence!" was held in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, from November 12 to 14. The event was organized by AFROCOM - Coordination Committee for Economic Cooperation with African Countries together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation with the support of the Roscongress Foundation. The forum created a basis for the promotion of Russian high technologies and localization of enterprises whose products are in demand in the Ethiopian market.

On November 11, the Russian-Indian Business Forum was held in Mumbai, which brought together 1,000 representatives of business and industry of the two countries.

In 2024, the events of the World of Opportunities cycle continued. International business forums were held in Dubai and Kuala Lumpur. The event in Dubai (November 13-15) was attended by more than 1 thousand participants - representatives of public authorities, business and international organizations. The forum was held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Economy.

The International Business Forum "World of Opportunities: Russia - ASEAN", which took place on November 26-27 in the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, was organized under the Roscongress International brand. Over two days, the Forum was attended by more than 350 representatives of political, business and academic circles, media, as well as experts and public figures from 24 countries. The event will become a permanent discussion platform in the region to discuss and widely publicize the issues of further strengthening trade and investment ties between Russia and ASEAN countries in various spheres.

The XVII Verona Eurasian Economic Forum was held this year on December 5-6 in the United Arab Emirates, in the city of Ras Al Khaimah. The forum brought together about 1 thousand participants from 40 countries. The event was held under the motto "The Art of Innovation" and was devoted to various aspects of the development of the economic well-being of Greater Eurasia. The Verona Eurasian Economic Forum was organized by the Italian non-profit Association "Let's Cognize Eurasia" in cooperation with the Roscongress Foundation and the UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

More than 20 business events are planned for 2025 in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America, which will be organized by Roscongress International. Also at next year's St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held from June 18-21, the international platform will be represented for the first time by a separate business space at SPIEF Expo.
