Russian embassy in Madrid finds out details of Russian shipwreck in Mediterranean Sea


The Russian Embassy in Spain is investigating the causes of the wreck of the Ursa Major dry cargo ship between Spain and Algeria. This was reported by the diplomatic mission in its Telegram channel on December 24.
"The Embassy is clarifying the circumstances of the wreck in 110 km from the Spanish coast (in neutral waters) of the Russian cargo ship Ursa Major," - stated in the message.
As specified in the Russian Embassy in Madrid, the Russian authorities maintain constant contact with Spanish colleagues.
The crash of the Russian ship in the Mediterranean Sea became known on the same day. According to the media, the ship left St. Petersburg 12 days ago and was on its way to Vladivostok, where it was supposed to arrive on January 12.
As a result of the accident, two people were missing, 14 crew members were rescued.
