A Moscow Region resident was convicted of defrauding a pensioner of 4 million rubles

In Egoryevsk (Moscow Region) a verdict has been handed down against a woman who was found guilty of fraud. A pensioner gave the defendant 4 million roubles.

According to the investigation, the swindlers contacted the victim on behalf of the Central Bank. They convinced the man that the swindlers were allegedly trying to steal his real estate. The local resident agreed to sell the apartment. The money received from the transaction, the pensioner transferred the defendant, writes the Internet edition "Podmoskovye Segodnya".

The woman was sentenced to two years of imprisonment with serving a sentence in a colony of general regime. The criminal case against her accomplices is allocated in a separate proceeding.

In Moscow, a pensioner gave 11 million rubles to fraudsters. The swindlers convinced the 78-year-old woman that she should deposit all her savings into an "insurance" account.
