AvtoVAZ patented two new names

AvtoVAZ has patented two new trademarks - Retiva and Altra. Information on trademark registration was published in the open database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS).

The trademarks Retiva and Altra are registered under the class of automobiles. Whether they will be used for new Lada models is unknown.

AvtoVAZ in different years previously registered names, which later were never used for cars. For example, in 2012, applications for the names Fortuna, Ladoga, Svoboda, Slavia and Quanta were registered, and in 2015 - Binar, Antiga, XRave, Excite, X Path, Expira and Intriga. The automaker also has Kvest, Onega, Kam4atka and other names in stock.

However, under the patented in 2021 name Aura in 2024 began to produce a business sedan based on Vesta. And under the name Xcite, which was formalized back in 2015, nine years later began production of crossovers in St. Petersburg.

On the eve of AvtoVAZ launched commercial production of the classic SUV Lada Niva in a new modification Sport. At the first stage, all produced Niva Sport will go to the relevant functional divisions of AvtoVAZ for testing and confirmation of design characteristics.
