In the Omsk region, a 27-year-old man, being in a state of alcoholic intoxication, hit a woman and her 3-year-old daughter on a sled with a car. This is reported on December 24 by the source of "Izvestia".

The incident occurred around 09:00 local time (06:00 Moscow time) on Proletarskaya Street in the district village of Maryanivka. As a result of the accident the child died, the woman is in hospital in serious condition.

It is noted that the driver fled the scene, but police officers managed to quickly find him. At the interrogation, the man admitted that he uses alcohol because of the frustration over the impending divorce, and the moment of the accident he does not remember.

The breathalyzer detected more than a ppm of alcohol in the driver's blood, indicating the most severe degree of intoxication. He faces up to 12 years in prison.

Earlier, on December 22, the driver of the "KamAZ" hit two elderly pedestrians, a man and a woman, in Dmitrov near Moscow. As a result of the incident, the man died, the woman was injured and hospitalized.
