The Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) has detained an employee of a regime enterprise for transferring information about the Russian Armed Forces (AF) to Ukrainian intelligence. This was reported by the Public Relations Center (PRC) of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation on December 24.
Law enforcers have established that the detainee, being an employee of the security enterprise, established and maintained contact with representatives of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (SVRU). Information about the RF Armed Forces he transferred for monetary remuneration.
"A criminal case under Article 275 ("High Treason") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation has been initiated against the suspect by the Investigation Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia. The Russian citizen was detained and taken into custody. He admitted his guilt in unlawful actions and is actively cooperating with the investigation," - stated in the report of the Central Investigative Department of the FSB.
Currently, the complex of investigative and operational-search activities continues.
Earlier, on December 23, employees of the FSB of Russia in the Kherson region detained a local resident for cooperation with the security services of Ukraine. The suspect established contact with a representative of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in 2023 and collected and transmitted information about the places of concentration of forces and means of the Russian Armed Forces.
