There were 255 traffic accidents in Russia over the past day

Over the past 24 hours, 255 road accidents were recorded on Russian roads, in which 33 people were killed and 327 injured. 27 of the dead were drivers and passengers. This was reported to "Izvestia" on Tuesday, December 24, in the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

As a result of 84 accidents involving pedestrians, six people died, another 81 were injured of varying severity. Among the victims are 22 underage pedestrians, 16 of whom were injured at crosswalks. Out of the total number of accidents with pedestrians, 50 occurred at crosswalks and 34 - outside their zone of action.

18 accidents involving buses were recorded on the roads of Russia, in which one person was killed and 33 others required medical assistance. The cause of 12 accidents involving buses was the violation of traffic rules by their drivers.

Thus, in the morning in Moscow on Profsoyuznaya Street a city bus with 10 passengers in the cabin collided with another bus, which stopped for boarding and disembarkation of passengers. There were 12 passengers in the second vehicle at that moment. As a result of the accident, the driver of the first bus and three passengers were injured in the hospital.

In addition, in the Republic of Bashkortostan on a regional highway, the driver of a school bus carrying 18 children aged 8-12 years old and one attendant, when passing an unregulated intersection did not give advantage in traffic, and his vehicle collided with a truck. The bus driver and the adult passenger accompanying the children were injured in the accident and hospitalized. The schoolchildren were not injured. According to the bus driver, he did not notice the truck at the intersection.

With the participation of minors on Monday 34 accidents were registered, as a result of which 39 young road users were injured, including 16 passengers. No children were killed.

In the Tyumen region traffic was stopped for several hours at the 120th km of the federal highway R-402 Tyumen - Yalutorovsk - Ishim - Omsk because of the accident. There, in the early morning, the driver of a truck collided with a KamAZ truck stopped ahead of him to turn, and then, in a prohibited place, drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a second truck and a passenger car. As a result of the accident, the driver of the oncoming truck was killed, and the perpetrator of the accident and the driver of the "KamAZ" were hospitalized with injuries. Traffic on this section of the road was temporarily stopped in both directions, a detour was organized.
