The new season of the New Year music festival opened at Sirius

On Tuesday, December 24, a new season of the New Year's music festival kicked off at the federal territory of Sirius. As part of the event, the audience will be able to enjoy performances by famous soloists and various musical groups.

"Now comes the period when, in fact, we have to practically live at the facility," said Andrey Litvinov, chief architect of the Sirius concert and theater complex.

The concert, exhibition and cultural space is planned to be opened in the middle of 2025. Currently, specialists are engaged in finishing the chamber hall for 500 seats, after which the builders will start installing a unique sound system weighing 100 tons.

It will also be possible to adjust the depth of the orchestra pit, which can rise to the level of the stage, increasing its area by 80 square meters and rising to the level of the parterre. This will allow for 100 additional seats in the auditorium.

"Sirius is becoming, I think, such an international city of three universities, we can already say. The concert hall and the music school will give a unique, probably, educational model and, of course, a unique playbill", - said the chairman of the council of the federal territory "Sirius", the head of the educational center "Sirius" Elena Shmeleva.

As for the opening of the New Year's music festival, the artistic director of the St. Petersburg House of Music, People's Artist of Russia Sergey Roldugin said that the best musicians and artists of Russia are participating in the event. The central theme of the evening was the work of Sergei Rachmaninoff. Mariinsky Theater artists also performed on stage.

Earlier, on December 22, the Moscow Central Exhibition Complex "Expocenter" from December 20 to 22 is holding a festival of pop culture "Hamster". The event will present iconic global projects and novelties that will premiere in the near future. Among them are the projects of the National Media Group (NMG). In addition to the presentation of large-scale Russian movie projects on the festival stage, the audience will be able to participate in an autograph session with the actors.
