In the Sverdlovsk region three convicts escaped from the correctional center. This was reported on December 24 in the press service of the Main Department of the Federal Service for the Execution of Punishments (FSIN) in the region.

"Three convicts sentenced to forced labor, held in one of the sites, functioning as a correctional center of the Main Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Sverdlovsk region, unauthorized left the territory of the institution," - said in the message of the agency.

At the moment, search activities are being carried out.

Earlier, on December 10, an escaped prisoner of the correctional center in Altai Krai opened fire at the FSIN officers during the arrest, one of them he wounded in the head. The victim was treated, and the attacker was detained.
