In St. Petersburg, a 16-year-old girl died after drinking vodka with her roommate. This was reported on December 24 by the source of "Izvestia".

"According to the words of the 25-year-old man, in the evening of December 22, they were drinking vodka. After returning home, the teenager felt bad, and she went to bed. Around 16:00 on December 23, the young man found that she was not breathing and called the emergency services," - said the interlocutor of the publication.

In addition, the cohabitant of the deceased said that they lived together in a communal apartment since October 2024. According to him, the girl did not communicate with her parents.

A criminal case was initiated under article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence"). The man was detained. Also were appointed expert examinations to establish the causes of death of the teenager.

Earlier, on November 11, in Kamchatka, a 12-year-old schoolgirl was taken to intensive care after drinking a whole bottle of absinthe during a walk with friends. At some point the girl fell on the asphalt. The teenager's ambulance was called by passers-by. The schoolgirl was hospitalized in the intensive care unit with alcohol poisoning.
