A magnetic storm of five points is expected on Wednesday, December 25. This was reported on December 24 by leading specialist of the weather center "Phobos" Mikhail Leus.

According to him, the coronal mass ejection from the Sun will reach the Earth in the afternoon of December 25. After 15:00 Moscow time, a magnetic storm of weak or medium level, classified as G1-G2, will begin.

"The preliminary duration of the magnetic storm is estimated at 8-10 hours. Perhaps sky watchers in higher latitudes will be able to see the aurora borealis," the specialist wrote in his Telegram channel.

Earlier, a magnetic storm of class G1 covered the Earth on December 17. It began at 08:21 Moscow time. According to the specialist, the cause of the weather phenomenon is the flow of denser and faster than usual solar wind.

Before that, on November 7, neurologist, expert physician of the laboratory "Hemotest" Ekaterina Demyanovskaya told "Izvestia" that the electromagnetic field can affect the work of the autonomic nervous system. She noted that general health promotion helps to weaken the impact of storms on the body, such as simple exercises, walks in the fresh air, and regular drinking of sufficient water.
