Russian Prosecutor General's Office declares undesirable a US NGO funding the AFU


The activities of Help Heroes Of Ukraine, a US-based non-governmental organization that finances the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), have been declared undesirable in the Russian Federation. This is stated in a statement posted on December 24 on the website of the Russian Prosecutor-General's Office.
"The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation made a decision to recognize the activities of the foreign non-governmental organization Help Heroes Of Ukraine (USA) as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation," - stated in the message of the Prosecutor General's office.
It was reported that it was founded in February 2022 by representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora in the United States. At the same time, the main representative office is located in Lviv, the organization also has offices in Kiev, Kremenchuk and Mykolaiv. Funders in the NGO include representatives of Congress, as well as other political and religious associations in the United States.
"Members of the association raise funds and send equipment, outfits to the units of the AFU. They supply servicemen with cross-country vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles, means of communication and personal protection," - said in the message of the Prosecutor General's office.
Earlier, on December 20, the Prosecutor General's Office recognized the Canadian NGO Canadian Center for Development of Democracy in Russia as undesirable. It was reported that its members tried to disrupt the "Immortal Regiment" marches on the territory of Canada, spread calls for protests in Russian cities, as well as lobbied for amendments to Canadian legislation on toughening anti-Russian sanctions and called for supplying weapons to Ukraine.
