The Russian Air Defense Forces have destroyed four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 24.

"During the past night on-duty air defense means destroyed four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles," - informed the press service in the Telegram-channel of the department.

It is specified that three drones were shot down over the territory of the Rostov region, one - over the Voronezh region.

Earlier, on December 23, the Defense Ministry reported about two eliminated UAVs over the Sea of Azov. Shortly before that, the ministry said that air defense forces destroyed nine drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Rostov Region. The attack was repelled between 20:40 and 21:20 Moscow time.

At the same time, the governor of the Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha said that the wreckage of a drone was found on the outskirts of the town of Lyudinovo in the Kaluga region. The governor urged residents to be careful and not to approach or touch the wreckage when it is found.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
