The governor reported the destruction of a drone over Voronezh

Air defense and electronic warfare forces have eliminated an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the suburbs of Voronezh. This was reported by the governor of the region Alexander Gusev on Tuesday, December 24.

"On-duty air defense forces and REB means in the suburbs of Voronezh detected and destroyed a Ukrainian drone," he specified in his Telegram-channel.

According to the governor, according to preliminary data, there are no casualties or damage.

The region remains in danger mode of UAV attack, Gusev added.

Shortly before that, Yuri Slyusar, the governor's acting governor, said that in the Rostov region four more drones were suppressed overnight by means of electronic warfare in Millerovsky and Tarasovsky districts. There were no damages or casualties.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
