- Mironov proposed to Mishustin to fix the norm on obligatory payment of the 13th salary

Chairman of the party "Just Russia - For Truth" Sergei Mironov proposed to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin the idea to fix the norm on the mandatory payment of the 13th salary by employers before the New Year in the Labor Code.
"I ask you to evaluate this proposal to introduce a norm into the Labor Code of the Russian Federation obliging employers to pay the 13th salary to employees no later than December 20 of the current year and give an answer within the timeframe established by law," TASS quoted Mironov as saying on December 24.
According to him, this measure will increase the motivation of employees, which may affect the increase in labor productivity during the period of staff shortage. According to him, additional monetary incentives will greatly help citizens in organizing family vacations and preparing for New Year holidays.
At the same time, Mironov reminded that in practice, companies do not always adhere to the principle of the 13th salary, leaving the decision on payment at their discretion.
Earlier, on December 20, the head of legal practice in SuperJob Alexander Yuzhalin told "Izvestia", who can count on the 13th salary from the employer. The expert explained that in a commercial organization, the size of the bonus should be determined either by the terms of the employment contract or by the terms of a local normative act.
