The Vitali fountain was repaired in the center of Moscow

Repair of the fountain "Vitali" was carried out in the center of Moscow. This was reported on Monday, December 23, by Deputy Mayor of the capital on housing and public utilities and landscaping Pyotr Biryukov.

According to him, the fountain "Vitali", located on the Theater Square, is one of the oldest. Initially it was intended to deliver water to the population. This function was lost over time and remained a decorative ornament. Specialists of the municipal economy complex carried out repair work after the end of the fountain season. Now the structure is fully prepared for work in the new season, reports the agency of city news "Moscow".

It is specified that the need for repair was caused by the completion of the operational life of the equipment. During the repair was completely updated technological "stuffing" of the fountain. Thus, specialists replaced control panels, cable lines, engineering equipment - pipes, pumps, gate valves, water filling systems. With the onset of positive temperatures in spring, it is planned to replace the underwater lighting fixtures, RT writes.

Biryukov reminded that during the winter all fountains in the capital are prepared for the new season. Traditionally, it starts at the end of April, notes "Moscow 24".

In November it became known that the work on conservation of eight fountains for the winter was completed in Podolsk near Moscow. The structures will be turned on again next spring, notes 360.ru.

In October, 17 floating fountains were prepared for the winter period on the Water Drainage Canal in Moscow. 17 floating fountain modules, each of which weighs about 300 kg, were dismantled on the Vodootvodnoy Canal with the help of a self-propelled pontoon and two cranes-manipulators.
