Donetsk resident stripped of Russian citizenship for attempting to establish contact with the SBU

Employees of the Russian Federal Security Service and the Interior Ministry have stripped a Donetsk resident of his Russian citizenship for attempting to establish contact with the Ukrainian security services. This was reported on December 24 by the official representative of the Russian Federal Security Service of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) Arina Klepanova.

It is specified that the Russian citizen Ignatenko A.I. showed initiative in social networks to establish contact with representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to assist in the fulfillment of tasks aimed at damaging the security of Russia.

Due to the proactive actions of the FSB officers, A.I. Ignatenko was deprived of Russian citizenship by the decision of the internal migration department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the DNR.

Earlier, on December 11, in Kherson region, a man was sentenced to 14 years in prison for aiding the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and illegal manufacture and storage of explosives. Having undergone training in mine and explosive ordnance and handling various types of weapons, the man arrived in Kherson Region in March 2023 and was granted Russian citizenship.
