A 32-year-old repeat offender suspected of arson was detained in the Tver region


Police officers detained a 32-year-old resident of Vyshny Volochok on suspicion of arson of a house on Moskovskaya Street. This was reported on December 23 by the press service of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Tver region in Telegram-channel.
According to preliminary data, four people, including a child, died as a result of the fire set by the young man. Carrying out operational and investigative measures continues.
It is specified that the man was taken to the police Department. A criminal case under part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional destruction or damage to property, committed out of hooligan motives, by arson") was initiated against the suspect.
Earlier, on December 5, a man set fire to a house in Kemerovo region because of the owners' refusal to let him in. As a result of the incident, two people died. Law enforcement agencies detained the suspect, he confessed.
