U.S. Armed Forces ATACMS missile-guided drone approached the Russian border


The U.S. strategic reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) RQ-4B Global Hawk flew over Poland and Lithuania and approached the border with the Kaliningrad region. This was reported by Polish radio station RMF FM on December 23.
According to its information, the UAV flew from an airbase in Italy, and then moved towards Poland, where it passed over the Suwalki corridor along the border with Lithuania, and then returned back. Its time in airspace amounted to 17 hours.
According to an RMF FM journalist, it was a planned flight in line with NATO objectives. It is reported that Global Hawk patrolled Polish space in mid-October.
Earlier, on October 26, a US-made RQ-20 Puma unmanned aerial vehicle ( UAV ) fell into the hands of Russian specialists. The specialists were able to land the drone without damaging the apparatus.
Information that U.S. UAVs appear near the borders of the Russian Federation is received regularly. Earlier, on July 6, an American Global Hawk UAV was spotted near the Kaliningrad region. The drone with the flight number 11-2046 and the call sign FORTE16 flew from the NATO airbase Sigonella (Italy). The drone traveled through the airspace of Greece, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland and is currently cruising along the Polish-Belarusian border, as well as in the vicinity of Kaliningrad.
On June 5, it was reported that the RQ-4B Global Hawk reconnaissance UAV belonging to the U.S. military aircraft was flying in the Black Sea about 250 km from Yalta.
Before that, on June 4, a US reconnaissance drone RQ-4B Global Hawk disappeared from radar while performing a mission over the Black Sea near Crimea.
