Analysts told about the growth in demand for pyrotechnics

Sales of fireworks grew in December by 11% year-on-year. This was reported to "Izvestia" in the analytical center "Check Index" of the company "Platform OFD".
The average check for pyrotechnics in December amounted to 1.4 thousand rubles, follows from the data of analysts. This is 12% higher than last year's level. The number of purchases increased by 11% year-on-year.
The most popular are salutes and fireworks for 10-20 volleys, as well as firecrackers in a box of 10-20 pieces, firecrackers in boxes of 40-60 pieces.
In contrast, fireworks sold worse this fall than a year ago, with the number of purchases down 6% year-over-year.
"The decline in sales of clappers, fireworks and other pyrotechnic products this fall was observed in the trend of a general decline in sales of New Year's paraphernalia, due to the warm fall and late snow cover in the central part of the country," the analysts said.
This created the effect of pent-up demand and led to an increase in sales in December. The cost of pyrotechnics depends on the import component, which is made up of the exchange rate and transaction costs, which was reflected in the growth of costs.
