A drug addict has warned of the dangerous effects of alcohol-flavored candies

Candies with alcohol, as well as desserts and drinks with flavors of alcoholic cocktails carry a threat to human health, especially for the younger generation. Vitaly Kholdin, chief freelance psychiatrist-narcologist of the Ministry of Health of the Moscow region, warned about this on Monday, December 23.
"A teenager who drank tea "with the aroma of cognac" and ate candy or ice cream with the flavor of an alcoholic cocktail will much more easily agree to try real alcoholic beverage than someone who is not familiar with these flavors," the doctor told Radio 1.
He added that the flavorings used to recreate the smell of alcoholic drinks can cause allergies. Therefore, people prone to allergic reactions are not recommended to consume products with such "flavoring".
Back in November, Natalia Kharchenko, candidate of medical sciences, gastroenterologist at the European Medical Center (EMC), told Izvestia about how to make New Year's dishes healthier. According to the expert, it is better to prepare classic recipes of festive dishes without adding mayonnaise. She also advised to choose lean meat, not to overeat and limit alcohol consumption or to give preference to dry wines.
On the same day, cardiologist Roksana Portnova said that arrhythmia, which occurs after drinking alcoholic beverages, is often called the holiday heart syndrome, reports 360.ru.
She recommended that during the New Year's vacations do not abuse alcohol, limit caffeine intake, as well as to observe the sleep and dietary regimen.
The doctor noted that in the prevention of holiday heart syndrome and other complications, it is important to follow a proper drinking regimen, RT reported.
