Private Zhukovets suppressed a machine gun crew and hit the AFU live force

Private Anatoly Zhukovets has suppressed a machine gun crew of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), hit some of the Ukrainian servicemen's live force and hit the vehicle they were advancing in. On Tuesday, December 24, the Russian Defense Ministry told about new feats of Russian servicemen in the Special Military Operation (SMO) zone.

Under relentless fire from Ukrainian militants, Zhukovets acted decisively on his section of terrain. At the end of the battle, the unit in which the private acted repelled several attacks, preventing the breakthrough of defensive lines, while inflicting significant damage to the AFU's manpower and equipment, which led to their retreat.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the selfless actions and professional skills of Junior Sergeant Alexander Poldyshev, who, repeatedly being on the line of contact under constant artillery fire and FPV drone attacks, provided first aid and emergency treatment to wounded soldiers and evacuated the injured to a safe area.

Poldyshev also provided medical assistance to wounded comrades at the unit's location, which resulted in many servicemen remaining in formation and continuing to fulfill combat missions.

Earlier, on December 23, the Russian Defense Ministry said that junior sergeant Andrei Amagzaev was carrying out tasks to protect and defend the positions of Russian troops on an important section of the front line. When the AFU attempted an offensive, accompanied by artillery fire on the positions of the Russian troops, the serviceman conducted aimed fire from small arms at the advancing enemy.

Before that, on December 22, it was reported that units of the group of troops "West" liberated the settlement of Lozovaya in Kharkiv region. The military also repelled six counterattacks of the enemy assault units.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
