Nutritionist, gastroenterologist, culinary blogger Nuria Dianova told on Monday, December 23, about the peculiarities of nutrition of Russians in winter in megacities.

"Most of the population lives in a climate where there is little sunshine. Lack of a sunny day, cold and high infectious morbidity are triggers to specific eating behavior. In winter, you always want to cheer up somehow, so Russians allegedly save themselves with coffee and sweets, which causes them to gain weight," the expert explained in a conversation with Radio 1.

The nutritionist noted that high infectious disease affects nutrition, so you want to eat a lot of citrus fruits, which contain a lot of calories.

"You need to vitamin feed yourself, but in moderation - include small doses," she said.

She added that the desire to warm up in winter prompts us to eat a lot of fatty food, RT reports.

According to Dianova, in winter you should give your body flexibility, but at the same time keep your calorie intake, including such healthy foods as sauerkraut, cranberries, unrefined butter, onions and celery.

Earlier in the day, freelance nutritionist of the Ministry of Health of Bashkiria Rushaniya Yalalova said that some people should refuse to eat tangerines, reports 360.ru.

In turn, Grow Food expert Ksenia Zabaturina gave some advice on how not to overload the body during the holidays. She noted that a sharp increase in the number of feasts, unusual and heavy dishes and excessive alcohol consumption can have a bad effect on health.
