Hawaii has raised the danger level due to an awakened volcano

According to the U .S. Geological Survey (USGS), one of the most active volcanoes in the world - Kilauea - began its next eruption. This became known on December 23 from the material of the TV channel Fox Weather.
Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reported that the eruption began on December 23 at 2:00 (15:00 Moscow time). As a result of what happened, the danger level in the closed area of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park was raised to the highest level.
"It's a pretty exciting time," said Ken Hong, executive scientist at the U.S. Geological Survey's Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.
He also added that lava continues to come out at a "very high rate." This phenomenon is characteristic of the early period of the eruption. The lava flow has already covered several square meters of the old lava lake, which was formed by the eruption of the same volcano in December 2020.
In addition, Hon noted that lava fountains reached nearly 70 meters in the morning.
The National Park Service is reportedly preparing for an influx of people wanting to watch the natural phenomenon online. Thousands of people will soon join the broadcast to watch the volcano erupt online.
Earlier, on June 4, it was reported about the awakening of the Kilauea volcano. It was noted that the eruption had a small volume and did not pose an immediate threat to people and infrastructure.
