Air defense forces destroyed nine drones over the Rostov region

In Rostov Region, air defense forces have destroyed nine drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 23.

It is noted that the attack was repelled between 20:40 and 21:20 Moscow time.

Earlier, on December 22, acting governor of the region Yuri Slyusar said that air defense forces and radio-electronic security (REB) eliminated eight Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Rostov region.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
