A criminal case has been opened against Olga Burlakova, head of a structural subdivision of the Central Housing and Utilities Directorate (CHUD) of the Russian Defense Ministry, who is suspected of abuse of power. This was reported on December 23 by the press service of the military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Telegram-channel.

"Military investigative bodies of the IC of Russia initiated a criminal case against <...> Olga Burlakova, who is suspected of abuse of official powers in the performance of the state contract (part 3 of article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," - stated in the message.

It is noted that Burlakova in 2019 abused her position and accepted work of inadequate quality, which led to more than 10 accidents at the water supply facilities of the city and material damage to the state for a total amount of more than 27 million rubles.

Earlier, in May this year, it became known that Vladimir Verteletsky, head of the Department of the Russian Ministry of Defense Department for the provision of the state defense order, was charged with abuse of authority in the performance of the state defense order.
