Ukraine reported emergency power outages in several regions

Due to the difficult situation in the energy system, Ukrenerho has ordered emergency blackouts in several regions of Ukraine, including Kiev. This was reported by energy holding DTEK in its Telegram channel on 23 December.
Electricity was cut off, in particular, in Dnipropetrovsk and Kiev regions, as well as in Kiev itself.
According to RBC-Ukraine, emergency blackouts also occurred in Kirovograd, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy and Poltava regions.
On November 24, The Times reported that Ukraine is facing "deadly frosts" due to the insecurity of the energy system. The materials noted that British engineers together with teams from America, Germany and Japan advised Kiev to build structures to protect the energy system back in late February.
Before that, on November 11, The Wall Street Journal reported that the acute shortage of electricity in Ukraine in winter can turn the country's cities into places with uninhabitable conditions. The publication called the inability to generate the required amount of energy a serious test for the Kiev regime.
