More than 12 thousand tons of contaminated soil will be utilized in the farm Bely in Temryuksky district of Krasnodar region. This was reported by the Governor of the Krasnodar region Veniamin Kondratiev in his Telegram-channel on December 23.
"Contaminated soil is taken to specialized enterprises for disposal. We stopped by one of them - in the farm Beloye, Temryuksky district. Here there are more than 12 thousand tons of the dirtiest soil to be disposed of," the governor noted.
Kondratyev also added that in the industrial zone of Anapa a temporary transshipment site is being created, where the soil from the beaches will be brought and then taken to special enterprises. This decision was made jointly with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Rosprirodnadzor.
On the same day it was reported that the group, which eliminated in the Krasnodar Territory fuel oil pollution after the crash of two tankers in the Kerch Strait, exceeded 10 thousand people. Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Alexander Kozlov expressed hope that scientists will help to find a way out of the situation and advise what to do and what reagents to use in the sea.
On December 22, almost 40 km of coastline was cleaned of fuel oil in Krasnodar Krai. In the port of Anapa additionally cleaned 500 square meters of water area. In Crimea, 60.3 tons of contaminated sand and soil were collected.
On December 21, Kerch introduced a state of emergency of a municipal nature. Fuel oil from the wrecked ships reached the shores of the Kerch Peninsula - to Cape Snake and fortress Yeni-Kale.
Tankers "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239" wrecked in the Kerch Strait on December 15 due to bad weather. As a result of the incident there was a spill of oil products. 27 people were evacuated from both vessels. It was specified that one person died.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, created a working group to coordinate work to eliminate the consequences of the accident with tankers in the Kerch Strait.
