Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov took part in the all-Russian charity event "Christmas Tree of Wishes". This was reported in the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on December 23.

"The head of the Russian military department took off the Christmas tree decorated with letters with New Year's wishes of children, a card of a boy Ivan from the Tula region, who dreams of a trip to St. Petersburg", - noted in the message.

Belousov invited the boy to St. Petersburg, where an extensive cultural program will be organized for him.

Earlier, on December 20, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov also took part in the festive action. He took from the tree cards with wishes of 12 children, which he promised to fulfill in honor of the New Year.

The "Wish Tree" campaign has been held since 2018. Children from three to 17 years old who find themselves in a difficult life situation can take part in it. You can fulfill the wishes of the children with the help of the project's website. The organizer of the action is the Russian movement of children and youth "Movement of the First".
