The Russian Armed Forces inflicted a fire attack on the infrastructure of airfields and warehouses of the AFU

Russian servicemen have hit the infrastructure of military airfields and storage depots for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 23.

"The infrastructure of military airfields, storage depots for strike UAVs, as well as accumulations of enemy manpower and military equipment in 143 areas were struck," the ministry's Telegram channel said.

The strikes were carried out by operational-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile troops and artillery of the Russian army groups.

The Russian Defense Ministry also said that air defense forces (Air Defense Forces) shot down 14 aircraft-type drones.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Armed Forces (AF) liberated the Storozhevoye settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). The losses of the AFU in this direction amounted to up to 155 military personnel.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
