955 thousand trees planted in Crimea in 2024


In Crimea, 955 thousand trees have been planted since the beginning of 2024. The planting area amounted to 307 hectares.
Greening was carried out within the framework of the All-Russian campaign "Save the Forest" and the international campaign "Garden of Memory". Schoolchildren, students, volunteers, representatives of public organizations, as well as concerned residents of the republic participated in planting. This reports IA SevastopolMedia.
Activists planted different types of trees, including lanceolate ash, ash maple, rock oak, Crimean pine, gladicia threespine and others.
Earlier it was reported that 240 poplars will be cut down in Irkutsk during December. Dangerous and emergency plantings were identified in the course of plantation monitoring.
