Lukashenko expressed admiration for Moscow's achievements

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko admitted that he often envies the achievements of the Russian capital. He said this at a meeting with Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin on December 23.
"This is not for flattery, I am often envious too. You do on a large scale what we could do in Minsk, but we don't have such opportunities for it. And we console ourselves with it, that we don't have enough opportunities. But we learn a lot, we look up to you and repeat many things," BelTA agency quotes Lukashenko.
In addition, Lukashenko touched upon the topic of renovation. He said that the Minsk authorities are actively tidying up the city and improving the livability and life of people. Many issues on this topic are discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
December 23, Lukashenko said at a meeting with Sobyanin that Europe can't exist without Belarus and Russia. Lukashenka shared his opinion that Ukraine would eventually cooperate with Belarus and Russia.
