Telegram after the update began to drain Apple iPhone faster

Owners of iPhones reported problems with overheating of smartphones and rapid battery drain after updating the messenger Telegram to version 11.5.2. This was reported by iPhones.ru on December 23.

Over the weekend, December 21 and 22, the App Store received more than 30 complaints from users of different Apple models running iOS 18. The negative feedback spoke about the unstable operation of devices after downloading the messenger update.

The complaints refer to significant heating, draining the battery. The problem is especially noticeable when watching video content. Users also pointed out the increased activity of the application in the background.

The only effective solution to the problem at the moment developers call forced closing of the application through the multitasking menu. Users have been promised to release an update that eliminates these flaws, added "Gazeta.Ru".

Earlier, on December 11, users of messenger WhatsApp and social network Facebook (part of Meta, recognized as an extremist organization and banned in Russia) faced failures. It was specified that messages in WhatsApp were not sent and did not reach their recipients, and more than half of Facebook users were unable to log in to the application.
