Court arrests accounts and real estate of foreign agent Gadzhiev

The Sovetsky District Court of Makhachkala arrested bank accounts and real estate of former State Duma deputy Magomed Gadzhiev (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation). This was reported to Izvestia on December 23 by Zarema Mamaeva, head of the joint press service of the courts of Dagestan.

She added that the accounts of the ex-deputy's wife, son and relatives, as well as the property of his father-in-law and nephew were arrested.

On February 15, the Russian Interior Ministry put Gadzhiyev on a criminal wanted list.

For the second reading, the State Duma has prepared amendments that will deal with funds from the sale of property

Gadzhiev was entered in the register of foreign agents on May 26, 2023. According to a report on the website of the Justice Ministry, while outside Russia, he expressed willingness to cooperate with foreign sources in order to obtain foreign citizenship, as well as declared support for the Ukrainian authorities.
