Residents of the Magadan region have been warned of strong winds

Rescuers warned residents of the Magadan region about the strengthening of wind in the next 24 hours. An emergency warning has been issued in the region.

According to forecasts, unfavorable conditions are expected on December 24 in the east of Olsky, the coast of Omsukchan districts, as well as in the North-Even district. The wind speed will increase to 15-20 m/s. About it reports IA MagadanMedia.

Rescuers warn of possible emergencies associated with damage to power lines and communications, the formation of snow drifts on the roads, an increase in the number of traffic accidents and the collapse of dilapidated structures, the fall of canopies and icicles. Residents of the region are asked to be careful on the roads, if possible to refrain from traveling outside of settlements and going to the Sea of Okhotsk on small boats.

Earlier, forecasters warned residents of Primorsky Krai about "temperature swings".
