Apple will create a smart doorbell with Face ID

Apple has begun development of a "smart" ancient bell, equipped with facial recognition. The gadget should significantly increase the level of security in the homes of users, Bloomberg wrote on December 22.
The key option of the "smart" call will be the ability to automatically open doors using Face ID technology. The device will be integrated with Apple's HomeKit platform, providing easy control with other compatible devices.
Along with a simplified process of entering the house, the novelty eliminates the possibility of unauthorized access, the developers claim.
Currently, the gadget is at the initial stage of development, its release is expected no earlier than the end of 2025.
Earlier, in mid-August, it became known that Apple is developing another "smart" device for the home, which resembles an iPad and a robotic limb. Work on the new device was headed by Vice President of Technology Kevin Lynch. It is expected that the device will be released on the market in 2026 or 2027.
