Seven people were injured in a traffic accident involving a school bus and a gasoline truck in the Republic of Bashkortostan. This was reported in the Telegram-channel of the regional department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry on December 23.

It is specified that the accident occurred in Baltachevsky district near the village of Tashly-Yelga. According to the Izvestiya source, the gasoline tanker was empty at the time of the accident.

"A total of 19 people were in the bus, including 17 children. Five children were taken to the hospital for examination, two adults were hospitalized," - noted in the agency.

It also indicated that the driver of the gasoline truck in the accident was not injured.

The circumstances of the incident are being investigated. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and traffic police are working at the scene of the accident.

Earlier in the day in the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported that over the past weekend on the Russian roads recorded 502 accidents, in which 70 people were killed and 655 injured. 49 of the dead were drivers and passengers.
