Moscow court sentenced the acting director of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "St. Petersburg Research Institute of Vaccines and Sera" Evgeny Makovsky for nine years for attempting to take a bribe on a particularly large scale. This was reported in the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital in Telegram-channel on December 23.

"By the verdict of the Golovinsky district court of the city of Moscow Makovsky Evgeny Viktorovich was found guilty of committing crimes under part 3 of article 30, part. 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, and appointed punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 9 years with serving the sentence in a penal colony of strict regime", - stated in the message.

According to the investigation, Makovsky tried to get a bribe in a particularly large amount from "Rusbiopharm" to extend the contract for the supply of vaccines from COVID-19 "Konvasel".

It is reported that Igor Rudykh, the second defendant in the bribery mediation case, was also sentenced to eight years in prison.

Earlier, in October this year, in the Moscow region, the investigation into the case of receiving a bribe of almost 35 million rubles by the head of the department of equipment and machinery of the Main Military Construction Department No. 14 of the Russian Ministry of Defense Igor Kudrykh was completed Igor Kushchy of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
