Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reveals the circumstances of a mass road accident in Moscow

A massive accident on Novocherkasskiy Boulevard in Moscow, preliminary, occurred because the driver did not give way to a fire truck of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. This was reported in the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation on December 23.

"According to preliminary data, the driver of the bus did not give way to the vehicle of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, passing the intersection on a red light with special signals on," - stated in the Telegram-channel.

It is specified that a total of 15 people were injured in the accident, including one child.

The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin instructed the head of the Main Investigative Directorate (MID) of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Moscow Andrei Strizhov to initiate criminal proceedings on this fact, as well as to submit a report on the established circumstances.

The accident on Novocherkasskiy Boulevard in Moscow occurred in the evening on December 22. 17 people were injured, including a child and two employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The press service of the capital's State Traffic Inspectorate said that, tentatively, the driver of the fire truck ran a red light and collided with a bus and three cars that were waiting for a green traffic signal. The capital's deptrans specified that all the victims are given the necessary medical care, their injuries are not life-threatening.

December 23, "Izvestia" shared a list of 14 people, including a 12-year-old child, hospitalized with injuries of varying severity as a result of the accident. It was specified that three victims are under outpatient treatment.
