Russian forces liberate Storozhevoye in the DNR

The Russian Armed Forces have liberated the village of Storozhevoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported by the Defense Ministry on December 23.

The losses of the Ukrainian army in this direction amounted to up to 155 military, four vehicles, 155-millimeter French self-propelled artillery unit (SAU) Caesar, 152-millimeter SAU "Akatsia", 152-millimeter gun D-20, as well as electronic warfare station (REB).

It is reported that groups of troops of the Russian Armed Forces struck Ukrainian military infrastructure. They struck storage depots of attack drones, as well as accumulations of military equipment and enemy manpower in 143 areas.

Also Russian forces defeated the AFU formations in the areas of Razdolnoye, Razliv DNR and Gulyaipol in the Zaporizhzhya region.

Earlier, on December 6, it became known that the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlements of Pustynka and Sukhiye Yaly in the Donetsk People's Republic. It is reported that the villages were liberated by units of the groups of troops "East" and "Center".

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
